Pederson’s Natural Farms, based in Hamilton, Texas, has been producing fresh and smoked natural meat products since 1992. We are dedicated to providing superior quality, naturally cured bacon, hams, sausage and much more. Our mantra is “real people making real food using natural meats raised with humane and environmentally safe practices.”

As our own families gather around the dinner table for a hearty meal together, we are confident that we are feeding them meat that is not only abounding with flavor but also meets the needs of the most health and environmentally conscious consumers. We carry products that are Certified Humane, grass fed, and made without the use of artificial ingredients or preservatives.

Additionally, we offer options that are nitrate free, MSG free, gluten free, sugar free, lactose free, and reduced sodium.

Our vertically integrated production facility shares a building with our corporate offices so quality control is only steps away from our president’s desk.  Our facility is SQF Level 3 Certified and regularly inspected by USDA inspectors, our ownership and senior management staff with production efficiency, quality standards and food safety at the forefront of our go to market process. In turn, this guarantees you the most wholesome, safe food in the industry.

Making safe and quality foods is the responsibility of each Pederson’s Natural Farms employee. Our management team’s objective is to “build” quality, all natural meat products!

Our process starts by carefully selecting only the highest quality raw materials and ingredients. Each partner is trained to understand the principles of Food Safety (HACCP) and Quality Assurance. While we adhere to all regulatory required standards and regulations, we go above and beyond that which allows us to truly “build” quality into the product at every manufacturing step.  Many times, with other producers, the level of quality and food safety is only evaluated upon inspection of products after they are produced; our goal is to “build” it right, at every turn, every time.

The result: our customers can consistently expect superior quality and safe and wholesome foods to serve their families! We look at every point in our processing procedures evaluating the ingredients for freshness, safety, taste, nutritive value and appearance. Every employee understands and believes they are a vital part of building quality into the foods we sell.

With top priorities being safety and quality, Pederson’s has taken every rigorous step to become Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Level 3 Certified.

Bacon Bash Texas originated in 2012 as an avenue for Pederson’s Natural Farms to raise contributions and awareness for causes close to the heart of their community. In 2014 Pederson’s Natural Farms was able to donate more than $20,000 to charity — a 300 percent increase from the previous year. In 2015, Bacon Bash Texas was able to donate over $30,000 to charity!

Due to the event’s popularity and rapid growth, Pederson’s Natural Farms decided to transition Bacon Bash Texas into a 501c3 in 2015. The Pederson’s Natural Farms team makes up over 50 percent of the volunteer staff for this event; they donate over 750 pounds of bacon for the cook-off; and they feature the winning team’s recipe and bio on the back of over 40,000 packages of bacon distributed nationwide.

“Our goal is to be a great corporate citizen in the community,” said Cody Lane, President of Pederson’s Natural Farms. “We couldn’t do any of this without our cook-off teams, ticket holders, volunteers, and sponsors. Together, we are making strides in supporting our community and assisting children with Type 1 Diabetes.”

This year, Pederson’s Natural Farms will give back through Bacon Bash Texas in the following ways:

  • Niki Warms the Cold, a charity born in memory of Cranfills Gap native Niki Carlson. Funds will be used to purchase blankets and coats to be distributed this winter. Additionally, Bacon Bash Texas will host a coat and blanket drive.
  • Fully funded scholarships for sending children with Type 1 Diabetes to specialized diabetes camps.
  • Help provide funding to families for a Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring System. This system allows remote monitoring of a Type 1 Diabetes patient’s glucose levels and alerts a parent when the child’s levels become dangerous.

Projections for next year’s event include the participation of over 40 cook-off teams and an influx of more than 2,000 ticket holders.  They can sample bacon cook-off entries and Central Texas wines; bid on amazing auction items; and listen to a great lineup of local talent.
