  • HEATING SUGGESTION:  Heat sausages until the internal temperature registers 165°F on a meat thermometer or until sausages are steaming hot.  Cooking times are estimates and may vary slightly.
  • GRILL:   Grilling adds great taste to these sausages.  Just fire up the grill.  Make sure you start with a good, even, medium heat.  Grill sausages over medium heat 12 to 15 minutes, turning sausages frequently to brown evenly.  Enjoy with your favorite side dishes and beverage.
  • MICROWAVE:  Place sausages on a microwave safe plate and cover with a paper towel.  Microwave on high (100%) power 45 to 60 seconds for 1 sausage, 2 ½ to 3 minutes for 3 sausages, or 5 to 6 minutes for the entire package, rearranging sausages midway through cooking.  Exact cooking times will vary with the microwave oven.
  • SAUCEPAN:  You’ll love the natural moist flavor of these sausages when you use steam to heat them.  Place about 1 inch of water in a 3-quart saucepan.  Place a perforated, collapsible steamer in the saucepan, cover and heat to boiling.  Add sausages, cover and steam 3-5 minutes.  Remove from heat and allow to stand 10 minutes.

I am of Czech heritage and we LOVE our sausage. I recently needed a “sausage fix” so it was time for a trip to Whole Foods Market. I have purchased your sausage at WFM for several years. I shop there less often since we have more cost effective options like Sprout’s and Trader Joe’s in Houston. I enjoy the Sweet German and Kielbasa and have tried the Jalapeno. My favorite cooking method is using a steamer. It’s quick, easy and the sausage stays moist.

Today I discovered the bison products on your website and am eager to try those. I will ask Sprout’s on Hwy 6 North to consider carrying your products even though they sell their own sausage.

Thank you for providing quality sausage that I can eat without concern for added MSG, nitrates or nitrites.

    With gratitude,
    Susan

We are extremely disappointed that you are NO LONGER making the Bison Sausage. It has been a weekly staple in our household. Besides the far superior health benefits of bison, it was not overly spicey as other sausages which made it enjoyable for all family members.
Would you please explain the reasoning for dropping this bison sausage from your product line?
And, more importantly please restore this to your offerings!!!

Hi there Jerry, the reason we had to drop the products were increased raw material cost on an already expensive product that did not sell enough for us to justify production. They were great products and we do reevaluate them annually to see if we want to try a re-launch. Thank you for letting us know you enjoyed it!

I have used this product in stir fry’s , in spaghetti sauces, just cooked as an addition to a meal. Made it just the other night by itself and had macaroni salad with it. Works very well, love the taste and it really isn’t that spicy and I usually have a hard time with spicy. Keep on with the products, love them
